Claude Code + FastAPI + React B2B SaaS, solo founder

Client reporting tool — from spreadsheet to paying customers in 3 weeks

A founder had been running client reports manually in Google Sheets for her agency. She wanted to productize it — sell the same reporting tool to other agencies. She came in with 14 feature ideas and an 8-week timeline in mind. We scoped it to 3: automated data pull, branded PDF export, and a simple client-facing dashboard. That's what we built.

What I built:

  • FastAPI backend with integrations for Google Analytics and Meta Ads
  • Automated PDF report generation with client branding
  • Multi-tenant React dashboard — one login per agency, separate views per client
  • Stripe billing with a 14-day trial, no credit card required

Outcome:

  • Shipped in 19 days — full working product, deployed, tested
  • Launched beta to 11 agencies she already knew; 7 converted to paid within 30 days
  • Used the product to validate pricing ($149/mo) before investing in a mobile app
  • The 11 features she didn't build in v1 are now on a prioritized v2 roadmap based on what users actually asked for
